Weekend crime report reveals break-ins targeting the theft of electronic devices.

Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes this weekend:

* A man was arrested in Leonora Drive, Ballito on Friday. He was found with a television suspected to be stolen. When the police searched him, they found two knives, three screwdrivers and scissors.

* A Ballito resident woke up to find his flat in Ballito, broken into on Friday morning. Cellphones, television, ipad, money, wallet, handbag, and jewellery were stolen.

* A house on Beverly Hills, Ballito was broken into on Friday. Laptops, cellphones and money were stolen.

* A business apartment was broken into in Ballito on Friday afternoon. Four laptops were stolen.

* A trailer was stolen at Umhlali on Saturday.

* A business office was broken into in Canton Park, Shakas Head on Saturday. Laptops and computers were stolen.

* Building material was stolen in Etete, Zarinas Place on Saturday.

* A man was stabbed in Nkobongo on Saturday.

* Five men held up the employees of one of the businesses on Canton Park, Shakas Head at gunpoint on Sunday. They took their cellphones and a laptop.

* A house was broken into in Shakas Head on Sunday. A wall clock was stolen.

* A man was arrested in Shakas Head on Sunday for rape.

Umhlali SAPS urge residents and holidaymakers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going to the beach. They also urge residents to report crimes against women and children and human trafficking. Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.
