A man from Shaka’s Head was stabbed to death

In the weekend crime report, two men were arrested for being in possession of dagga.

Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend:

* Two men were arrested for being in possession of dagga on Friday. One was arrested in Shaka’s Head and the other one was arrested on Compensation Road.

* A Toyota bakkie was stolen at Hewitt Road, Salt Rock, on Saturday.

* A house was broken into in Shakaskraal, Ocean View Drive, on Saturday. Building materials were stolen.

* A man was arrested for allegedly killing a man in Shaka’s Head on Sunday. The deceased was found with a stab wound on the left side of his stomach.

Umhlali SAPS advise residents and holiday makers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going out the beach.

They also ask residents to report crimes against women and children and human trafficking.

Residents who applied for competency certificates and firearm licence must go to the firearm office at the station for collection from Monday to Wednesday before 10am. Police Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.
