Armed robbers hold up Salt Rock restaurant

The robbers acted as customers on numerous occasions before choosing their moment to strike.

A gang of armed robbers targeted a local eaterie in Salt Rock, holding up and robbing patrons and staff at around 11am this morning.

The four men entered the premises under the guise of customers before pulling out firearms and ordering patrons to put their hands in the air.

The brazen robbers, who were known to the staff, robbed the patrons, staff and business of their cellphones, cash and other valuables before ordering them to lie on the floor.

Although patrons and staff were visibly shaken no injuries were reported.
