Three foreign nationals were arrested for dealing in counterfeit goods on the N2 near Mvoti Plaza on Friday night.
The women were found with 161 pairs of counterfeit Adidas push-ins, 84 pairs of kids’ sandals and 42 pairs of Adidas flip flops.
KwaDukuza police spokesperson Sibusiso Khuzwayo said the women were followed by police from the north before they were arrested at Mvoti Plaza.
“The suspects aged between 36 and 39 years were detained at KwaDukuza police station and made their first appearance at KwaDukuza magistrates’ court on Monday.
“Bail was opposed for the purpose of verification of their legal status in South Africa,” said Khuzwayo.
In a separate incident, a 44-year-old man, suspected to be a fraudster, was arrested in KwaDukuza CBD on Friday morning.
He was found with 10 different bank cards, including SASSA cards, a car breaking implement and R750.
Khuzwayo said the man was arrested after he disturbed someone at an ATM.

It is alleged that while a man was at the ATM, the accused came and shouted at him demanding that he insert his pin.
“After doing that, he drove off in a white KIA Picanto. He was caught by residents and a local security company at Spar, where he was spotted at another ATM.”
The man has appeared in the KwaDukuza magistrates’ court.
