KwaDukuza SAPS launch crime reduction project

Regular patrols will be conducted in the KwaDukuza area to ensure a safer community for everybody.

In an effort to drastically combat crime in the KwaDukuza area, KwaDukuza SAPS station commander, brigadier Sbongile Mhlongo together with KwaDukuza SAPS management, hosted a joint crime reduction project meeting on Wednesday, 22 May.

The project has a dedicated team of KwaDukuza SAPS members, together with local security companies – G4S, Eyamadube, Ultimate Security, National Security, 33 Bravo Security, Pro Secure, Aros VIP Close Protection and Strongborn Security, who together hope to sweep the community clean of crime.

They will be conducting regular patrols in the KwaDukuza area to ensure a safer community for everybody, and plan to have regular joint operations.

Local security companies were invited to attend a meeting to discuss how they could work together in the KwaDukuza area.

Brigadier Mhlongo expressed her gratitude towards all the security companies for joining forces with the KwaDukuza SAPS.

“The joint crime reduction project will drastically reduce the crime in the area, due to a stronger partnership between KwaDukuza SAPS and local security companies,” she said.

“KwaDukuza SAPS is encouraging all other security companies to join us in creating a greater barrier against crime.”
