Three men arrested for house robberies in KwaDukuza

The men were wanted for robberies they allegedly committed at Melville, Mphithizi, Ntshawini, Sofaya and Gledhow.

Three men wanted for house-breaking in numerous KwaDukuza townships were arrested last Friday.

“A flat screen television which was taken from one of the house robberies was also recovered and they will be appearing at the KwaDukuza Magistrates’ Court in due course,” said acting station commander colonel Nokulunga Novandla.

The police also arrested a man for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition on Saturday.

The man was arrested at the Holmbosch Sugar Estate, near Darnall.

“The suspect has been charged for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and for unlawful possession of 12 rounds of ammunition. He will appear in KwaDukuza Magistrates’ Court shortly,” said Novandla.

She commended the police officers on the recovery and arrests.

“We will be conducting numerous operations to recover all unlicensed firearms from the KwaDukuza area,” she said.
