Kranskloof farm couple tied up and robbed, daughter (19) abducted and raped

Police are hunting for three men who robbed the teenager's parents at their Kranskloof farm last Thursday.

A teenager had to drive herself home after being raped by two men last Thursday night when three attackers forced her to take them to withdraw cash at the Umvoti Plaza.

Police are now on the hunt for the three men after they robbed the teenager’s parents at their Kranskloof farm around 11pm that night.

Kranskloof is located between Glendale and Shakaskraalin in Ndwedwe.

According to provincial SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele, the attackers were armed with knives and a crowbar.

Both the man – a farm manager – and his wife were tied up with electrical cords and threatened with their lives.

The robbers stole four cell phones and a laptop before demanding that the 19-year-old girl take them to the Umvoti Plaza where they ordered her to withdraw cash.

“They instructed her to drive towards Tinley Manor where two males forcefully raped her and ordered her to drop them off at the corner of R102 and Glendale Road. They left on foot telling her to go,” said Colonel Mbele.

Glendale SAPS are investigating charges of robbery, rape and theft.
