Missing Gledhow resident found dead less than a kilometre from home

Police dogs uncovered the missing man's body hidden in the dense bushes next to the railway line.

The body of a school security guard was found in the bushes near the railway line in Gledhow on Saturday.

It is believed that the 38-year-old man was on his way home from work at a school in Groutville when he was killed.

His body was found half-a-kilometre from his home, some 200m away from the railway line, hidden in dense bushes.

KwaDukuza Saps spokesperson Priya Nunkumar said the man was confirmed as a Gledhow resident who had been reported missing last weekend.

“He had stab wounds on his body and police are investigating,” said Nakumar.
