Cops on the trail of Lindelani double murder suspects

Njabulo Cele (24) had been sitting with 16-year-old Santos Francis in a friend’s car when they were both shot and killed in cold blood.

Four men were taken into police custody for questioning on Thursday in connection with the double murder of two young men in Lindelani Township on Monday, police confirmed.

Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said the case was still under investigation.

According to the Courier’s sources, this was the result of investigations by the provincial trio crimes task team and members of KwaDukuza Saps.

Njabulo Cele (24) had been sitting with 16-year-old Santos Francis in a friend’s car when they were both shot and killed in cold blood.

Njabulo’s older brother Ernest said the family were bewildered by the murder as his brother was not a troublemaker.

He said his brother was a soccer coach and believed his murder may have been a case of mistaken identity.

“We pray that justice will be served,” he said.
