A 19-year-old Ballito resident was brutally assaulted in the lower Ballito village on Friday evening.
Sabrina Paul was taken to ICU at Netcare Alberlito Hospital on Friday evening where she remained until Monday afternoon, confirmed mother Nadia Paul.
“At the moment, we do not have any more information on the assault.
“Sabrina does not remember much and we are focusing on getting her home,” she said.

The family shared a photo of Sabrina’s injuries on social media asking for witnesses to come forward.
The photo, which was taken following the assault in the parking lot of the Balvista Centre, sparked outrage with residents demanding that the perpetrators be held accountable for their actions.
Umhlali Saps spokesperson, Captain Vinny Pillay, confirmed that a case of assault with the intent to commit grievous bodily harm had been opened.
“We are currently locating and investigating video footage from the scene to further clarify the facts of the case,” he said.
