A taxi owner was injured after he was shot, while droving on the M4, near La Mercy this evening.
According to Paul Hersbt from Medi Response paramedics, a vehicle allegedly pulled alongside the taxi owner’s vehicle, opening fire.

“He was struck by bullets and lost control of his vehicle, leaving the road. It is alleged that the attackers did a u-turn, at which time they crashed their own vehicle.
“The assailants allegedly alighted the vehicle and fled on foot,” said Herbst.
The man was treated by advanced life support paramedics and taken to hospital.
