Joint police operations yield good results in KwaDukuza
Several arrests were made in relation to possession of drugs and illegal firearms, among others.
Several arrests and recoveries of stolen goods were made during a joint operation held in KwaDukuza last Thursday.
The initiative saw police from different police stations in the province and a number of security companies joining forces to conduct road blocks and undertake stop-and-search activities in and around KwaDukuza.
Two people were arrested for possession of drugs, two for non-compliance with liquor license conditions while four illegal immigrants were apprehended.
A stolen vehicle was recovered in Thembeni and a man arrested at the Shoprite parking lot for carrying an illegal firearm.
A woman was found with 15 rock cocaine parcels in Lot 14 and a man was found with whoonga capsules in Ntshawini.
Police also confiscated knives, dagga, Zenex tablets and money in different areas within the KwaDukuza Saps precinct.
