Customer shoots Sundumbili store employee in both legs
The perpetrator fled the scene and remains at large.
A 39-year-old man is fighting for his life after an alleged argument spiralled out of control in the Mandeni township of Sundumbili this morning.
According to paramedics the victim was an employee at a Sundumbili supermarket.
Bystanders reported that the perpetrator had left the argument to retrieve a rifle from his car and proceeded to shoot the shop employee in both legs.
“The victim suffered serve injuries and is in a critical condition with multiple fractures on both his legs,” said IPSS Medical Rescue paramedic Kelsey-Jae Meyrick.
“At the moment it’s difficult to say what the outcome will be, but he is critical,” she said.
Paramedics stabilised the injured man and took him to hospital.
The perpetrator fled and is still at large.
The Sundumbili Saps are investigating the shooting.
