Cops recover KwaDukuza stolen car within an hour

The driver of the car crashed while being pursued by Saps.

Glendale Saps swiftly arrested a suspected car thief following a high-speed chase last Thursday.

The Nissan Micra was stolen in KwaDukuza and was spotted travelling along the R74 road towards Maphumulo.

Police made an arrest within the hour, when the car crashed into the bush after a short chase.

iLembe District Police Commissioner Major General Anthony Gopaul praised the police for their swift reaction in arresting the 28-year-old man.

The suspected car thief was the only occupant in the vehicle. He appeared in KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
