Ndwedwe father accused of beating daughter to death

According to police, the man allegedly assaulted his daughter with a belt while teaching her the alphabet in her bedroom.

A 34-year-old father has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of his eight-year-old daughter in the Wosiyane area of Ndwedwe.

According to police, the man allegedly assaulted his daughter with a belt while teaching her the alphabet in her bedroom on Thursday.

The child reportedly suffered multiple injuries and bruises to her body as a result of the beating.

Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to save the young girl. She was declared dead on arrival.

He was arrested at the scene and is expected to appear in court soon.
