iLembe District Municipality appoints acting municipal manager
Cingisa Mbola has been with the municipality since 2012 and will fill the role of municipal manager in an acting capacity until the end of November.
iLembe District Municipality has temporarily appointed Cingisa Mbola as acting municipal manager, replacing Geoffrey Khumalo whose contract had expired at the end of August.
Mbola was appointed at a council meeting last Wednesday.
Her appointment is in-house, with her also serving as technical services senior manager at the municipality.
The first female to hold the position of technical services senior manager, Mbola has been with the municipality since 2012.
She holds a B-Tech Civil Engineering degree, and has recently completed studies towards a Master’s degree in business leadership.
She also serves on the Engineering Council of South Africa’s council.
Mbola is expected to serve as acting municipal manager until the end of November this year.
