Local salon comes out on top

Perfect 10 at Ballito Junction scooped major awards at the Imbalie Beauty group annual awards on Saturday, October 19, at the Royal Elephant hotel in Pretoria.
The salon produced three of the top five nail technicians out of 250 contenders and was named studio of the year.
Staff members Semai and Michelle Naidoo took the therapist and runner-up therapist of the year awards respectively and were both in the top five retailers.
Sli Masango came second in KZN in the Nail Systems International Top Nail Technician competition.
“We have only been going for a year and we have a regular client base of 2500 people,” said salon owner Kalai Moodley.
“We are absolutely pedantic about service and customer care.”
Moodley said the entire team shared a Christian faith and they pray together every morning before opening the salon.
“It is what has put the wind under our wings. People always tell us there is something about this place, a light.”
