Expansion for Mediclinic Victoria
The first phase is set to be completed in October next year.

In just a few short months, Mediclinic Victoria in Tongaat will be making their most ambitious expansion to date.
In order to continue with the existing operations without disruption, the expansion has been planned in three phases. The first phase is set to be completed in October next year and will include a new doctors’ consulting block, two parking levels and the refurbishment of the lower ground floor of the existing hospital which will include the reception area.
Hospital manager Jenny Meer said the second floor would be rebuilt to accommodate an additional 21 new beds consisting of private and small wards as well as the relocation of the existing emergency unit from the lower ground floor to the ground floor.
“Phase two, which will commence shortly afterwards, will include the construction of offices for administrative departments and a brand new pharmacy.
Phase three will include a new multi-theatre complex with digital theatres, a separate surgical ICU as well as additional wards and facilities. All the buildings will be linked with a walkway.”
Meer added that it is the intention of the board and management to ensure that they deliver cost-effective health care of the highest quality, retain a trained and happy workforce and exceed patient expectations now and in the future.
“To do this, we need the support and commitment of the community, patients and doctors.”
Meer thanked Tongova Mews residents, Mr F Shaik and members of the community for their support and understanding during the building project.
