New pastor in town

Les Crickmay pastors 'The Coming King Ministries'.

Ballito has a new pastor who has set up a church, “The Coming King Ministries”, in what was the old cinema on Sandra Road.
Les Crickmay is a married man and father of four who spent 30 years of his life in the IT industry before becoming a pastor.
“As an unbeliever, I sent my son off to church because I thought it would make him a good child,” said Crickmay.
“He caught me out after a while when he told me I could not expect him to go to church if I was not prepared to support him and go myself.”
After becoming a believer in 1990, Crickmay later left the world of IT and started full time bible study and teaching in 2001.
He pastored at Hillcrest Olive Tree church for five years before being commissioned by the leadership to come to Ballito and “plant a new ministry”.
“We are not the typical church,” said Crickmay, “We believe it’s important to preach about end times.”
According to Crickmay, his church aims to meet the needs of people who “seek truth rather than tradition”.
“We recently had a Creation versus Genesis seminar that we advertised in the Courier and it went really well with many different folk from different churches attending,” said Crickmay.
“We intend to conduct regular events, again emphasising a teaching platform for others to share and use the resources made freely available.”
All of Crickmay’s sermons are uploaded onto the church’s website and you can find them at www.comingkingministries.org. He can be contacted on 083 653 5229.
