10 injured in Umhlali accident

A taxi and a car collided on the R102.

A taxi and a car collided on the R102 near the Umhlali offramp to the N2 at around 2pm this afternoon.

Ten people were injured but details of what caused the incident and the events leading up to it are currently unclear.

According to Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha, paramedics were on the scene and found that the taxi had run into the side of a car. Two people were found to have serious injuries.

After stabilising the more seriously injured, ambulances transported them to various local hospitals for further treatment and hospitalisation.
