Heads up for sound check
New Year's Eve Street Party organizers are warning residents of their sound checks.

Ballito residents around the old village should take note that a sound check for New Year’s Eve Street Party will run from 5pm to 7pm on December 30.
Brendan Keen from G&G Productions said the technical gear check will be kept as short as possible to avoid disrupting residents.
“We thank you for your understanding and look forward to you joining us to in seeing the new year together,” he said.
Ballito’s legendary New Year’s Eve Street Party will be back again this year with the Samsung Galaxy experience and 5FM street party in the Old Village Centre.
The ninth edition of the year end party is called ‘Get Ready To Jump’ and features a powerhouse line-up of DJ’s including Ibiza’s own Danny Avila and 5FM’s Gareth Cliff, Roger Goode, DJ Milkshake and many more.
With five dance floors and a long list of DJ’s, you can take your pick of who you will party with. Pascal and Pearce, Vearnda Panda, Jamie K, G-Funk, Bhashkar, Brent Crude and Woody will also be tearing up the decks.
Samsung have some impressive offers on the cards and fans can get half price tickets to the event on the Samsung Mobile South Africa Facebook page. If the DJ’s aren’t enough to get you excited, the massive firework display is another draw card.
The ticket main sale is from Friday December 6 to 25. General tickets are R320 and VIP tickets are R520. Ticket prices go up after December 26.
General tickets allow access to the main floor, bar and chill area while VIP access includes the general areas as well as Crush Nightclub, two additional dance floors and the VIP bar. The party kicks off Tuesday, 31 December at 7.30pm and ends at 5am on New Year’s day.
