Tugela drowning search continues

The search continues for the two missing children in Tugela River.

The search continues for the two children who are thought to have drowned in the Tugela river near New Ark yesterday.

The children, aged between 11 and 14, were swimming across the river instead of using the boat further up river.

Ballito’s Specialised Rescue Unit and police divers and K9 rescue dogs and handlers searched the area yesterday until the light failed.

They resumed their search this morning with the help of one of the volunteers, David Brown and the community trailing the banks in hope that the children would be found soon.

The police helicopter will join the search tomorrow morning if they are not found before light is out today.
