Search for fisherman continues

The fisherman was washed off the rocks at Blythdale beach on Sunday morning.

KwaDukuza life guards are patroling the coast by jetski and boat this morning as the search continues for a missing fisherman, who was washed off the rocks at Blythdale yesterday.

The 45-year-old man is believed to have been attempting to reel in his line when it became caught on the rocks. He allegedly walked down into a channel in the rocks to try and free his line, when a wave washed over him and he was not seen again.

KwaDukuza life guards, the Specialized Rescue Unit and Rapid Care were among those who have been searching tirelessly for the man.

He is now presumed to have drowned.
