Four armed men held-up a business in Hullets Street in Stanger this morning.
According to Stanger SAPS Communications Officer Constable Sibusiso Khumalo, Asmalls clothing store was robbed at around 9.30am.
The men held up staff and customers at gunpoint.
Dolly Pillay, who works at Asmalls, said she was on the phone when the men came into the store.
“I got off the phone and saw that one of the men had a gun, that is when I realised we were being held up,” she said.
According to Pillay, the men were quite calm and instructed the staff to empty the till before asking them to empty the safe. They took the money and made off.
Const Khumalo said security guards patrolling the area arrested two of the robbers, while the other two managed to escape.
He appealed for witness to come forward with any information that could assist the case.
