Where are we going for Valentine’s day?

Great spots which will ensure a romantic Valentines day

The North Coast is blessed with some beautiful places, amazing venues, restaurants and awesome activities to do with your partner.
Valentine’s Day will have some people twiddling their thumbs thinking of a special way they can spend the day with their loved ones.
Here are few things to do on Valentine’s Day to reaffirm your love for your better half.
A day at a game reserve is not out of your reach with the Rain Farm lodge just 15 minutes away from Ballito. They offer a romantic picnic in the reserve.
If you are true lovebirds visit Mount Moreland Conservancy and the Harold Johnson nature reserve and go birding. Both are just a short drive away and have relaxed walking trails and a wide variety of bird life. Take your own romantic picnic breakfast along and make a morning of it.
For the adventurous couple, a microlight flight over the North Coast could be just the thing to get the adrenaline pumping. The microlight airfield is located just off the R102 after the Sugar Rush turnoff.
Our beaches offer a perfect opportunity to create a special candlelight dinner, without the stress of making bookings or worrying about the bill. A particularly good spot is Thompson’s Bay, which has the Hole in the Wall. Take a walk down the beach at sunset.
Lastly, well not overly romantic, a day on the golf course is a nice way to spend some time with your partner. Umhlali Country Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day mixed open on Sunday. Just make sure you do not get hot under the collar if she beats you. Last but not least, the North Coast has a range of great restaurants that will surely show you and your date a great night out. Check out the Courier’s Fast Finder for a list of restaurants in the area. Book as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed.
