Although ownership of all three Woolworths stores on the North Coast has been transferred back to the company, getting the stores back up to standard will take some time.
The company has moved to reassure its customers in Ballito and Stanger, following numerous complaints that the stores were not up to scratch.
Customers have complained that fridges are almost always empty and the level of service has still not been picked up, despite the transfer from former franchise holders Dula Investments.
In a press statement, Woolworths said it is still committed to providing the best quality product and service for customers.
“The refrigeration at our stores in Ballito Bay and the Lifestyle Centre have not performed optimally to maintain good quality and fresh product. This has resulted in some products not being available. We appreciate how frustrating this must be for customers while we fix the refrigeration. We regret the inconvenience.”
The store at Lifestyle Centre is due for an upgrade shortly, according to head office.
