Jaws of life to free injured

The M4 near Zimbali was closed briefly after an alleged head-on collision.

Kwadukuza firemen had to use the Jaws of Life to free a man from the mangled wreckage of his vehicle after an accident on the M4 yesterday afternoon.

The M4 near Zimbali was closed briefly after an alleged head-on collision injured both drivers and blocked the road.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha, one of the vehicles had overturned after impact, its wreckage coming to rest on its side blocking the road, the other vehicle was found on the side of the road with the driver still trapped in the wreckage.
The second diver sustained minor injuries
Netcare 911 and Rapid Care paramedics treated the injured drivers, before Netcare911 took them to hospital.
