A 24-year-old Tongaat resident was injured after an alleged altercation in the Westbrook car park in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Reports indicate the driver of a BMW argued with three men and then allegedly lost control of his vehicle around 2am.

One of the men was apparently driven over twice and the other two knocked over before the BMW driver allegedly ran away.

The BMW was impounded by Tongaat SAPS and the matter is under investigation.

Netcare911’s Chris Botha said they found one man laying on the ground in the car park.

“We stabilised him and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.”
