A wrap of the weekend's crime.

The following crimes were attended to by Umhlali SAPS over the weekend:

* Two men attacked and robbed a man who was walking near the Shakaskraal clinic on Sunday morning. The robbers made off with a cell phone.

* Early on Sunday morning, a woman was attacked by a man while she was walking with one of her friends on School road in Shakaskraal. She was beaten with a stick during the attack

* An employee allegedly stole money from his employer while they were working on Dolphin Crescent on Saturday.

* A man and his wife were allegedly assaulted in a parking lot at Palm Lakes on Saturday. While they were parked, they saw another vehicle speeding in the complex. The man flashed at the driver to slow down and the car turned into the car park. The driver walked up to the parked car and allegedly assaulted the man and his wife.

* On Saturday afternoon, a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men in Etete. The girl had been playing outside while her mother and grandmother were inside the house. The girl told her mother that two men had taken her into a toilet and raped her.

* While walking to a shop in Nkobongo, a woman was assaulted by another woman after an argument on Friday night.

Umhlali SAPS arrested nine people for possession of marijuana, two for dealing liquor without a license, 11 for drinking in public, three for failing to comply with a liquor license, two for drunk driving, seven for road traffic violations and three people were arrested for speeding.
