The early morning M-drive experience
BMW M-series owners got together for a morning of fun and a 120 kilometre scenic drive to Doringkop.
‘M’ was the letter of the day when BMW M series owners met at the Ballito Autohaus for the M-drive on Sunday morning.
Donning their BMW caps and hats, motor sport fanatics spent the first half of the morning admiring each others horses, before they took a 120 kilometre scenic drive to Doringkop.
Ballito Autohaus principal dealer Paul Naidoo said the annual event, which is in its second year, was “a celebration of the beautiful range of the M-series cars”.
“It is a nice way to meet people who own other cars in the M-series as well as to admire the latest range which this year is the M1,” said Naidoo.
Westville’s Yugen Chuny, proud owner of 20 BMWs from 1982 to 2013, had half his peers drooling over his white M1. He said his love for BMW cars was an addiction he was happy to live with.
Gavin Pillay from Durban North said for him it was a nice way to visit new places, like Doringkop, and he wanted to share the experience with his wife and two boys.
