Slimline Pools and Mowers Ballito have committed themselves to donating one percent of their total turnover for the month of March towards Jordan Smith’s (11) medical bills.
Slimline’s spokesperson, Kerry Nieuwoudt said their company had only recently arrived in Ballito but had received tremendous support from the community.
“Helping Smith is our way of giving back and we strongly believe that if you are in the position to help someone in need then that is what you should do,” said Nieuwoudt.
Smith is suffering from chondroblastic osteosarcoma which is a type of bone cancer. He has not been able to attend school since March last year and is currently undergoing chemo in Pretoria.
His parents considered home schooling but the first cycle of chemo resulted in a horrifically sick little boy who could not eat or drink. He was isolated in hospital and spends most of his time sleeping.
“To date he has had seven cycles of chemotherapy and is halfway towards completing the 40 weeks of chemo,” said his mother, Tracy.
