Amatigulu river cleanup
Spend the morning on the Amatigulu river taking in the surroundings and cleaning up the environment.
The Ezemvelo Honorary Officers Amatigulu group is hosting a river cleanup day on Saturday, April 5 at the Amatigulu Nature reserve.
The day promises to be a great day out enjoying nature. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing paddle on the Amatigulu river whilst collecting litter. The tranquillity and beauty of the area should be experienced by residents and tourists alike.
There are a limited number of canoes available for hire, so visitors are asked to bring along their own canoes or paddle boats (no motorised craft) and a few black refuse bags.
Honorary officers will be on duty from 7am until 10am to assist. Visitors are welcome to make use of the picnic site and some of the other facilities the reserve has to offer.
Entrance is only R20 for the day. For further information contact Clive Watson on 083 274 6678 or Gary Frances on 082 417 0000.
