Sharing her love of life

Cape Town artist Salomi Prinsloo will showcase her work at the Imbizo gallery.

Cape Town based artist, Salomi Prinsloo is coming to Imbizo Gallery to share her fascinating work with bold brush strokes with the local audience.
Her exhibition, entitled “For the Love of Life” will be running from Thursday, April 3 until the end of the month.
“I am so excited to be coming to beautiful Ballito again. I have been showing my work at the Imbizo since 2008 and I have always been received with so much love there,” said Prinsloo.
This acclaimed artist will be in Ballito for the opening night on April 3. Prinsloo’s work features an experimental and playful approach, resulting in imagery spaces with often dreamlike landscape qualities. She moves comfortably between abstract and figurative elements in her work, merging and blending them into a harmonious whole.
Prinsloo’s work is proudly displayed in many corporate collections and the Pretoria Art Museum bought one of her works for Tswane’s corporate collection. She has exhibited in countries like Italy, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
“I have been painting for 35 years but my passion for art is still as powerful as it was when first started,“ said Prinsloo.
For her paintings she draws from intellectual as well as emotional responses, yet allows the painting a life of its own.
When she is not painting, Prinsloo runs her visual art centre where she teachers her master art skills to her students.
