Ndwedwe grader driver still at large

Ndwedwe SAPS are looking for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the man who allegedly hit and killed four children with a grader last week.

Foreign national, Simangaliso Sibanda (47) ran away and left the grader that he had been driving after he hit cousins, Hlengiwe Magwaza (11), Langelihle Magwaza(4) Busisani Magwaza (2) and Zanele Magwaza (4) were walking home from school.

Zanele, Langelihle and Hlengiwe were killed instantly while Busisani died in Osindisweni Hospital a few a hours later.

Provincial SAPS captain Thulani Zwane said a warrant had been issued for Sibanda who was working for Aqua Transport and Truck Hire company in Ndwedwe.

“He will be charged with four counts of culpable homicide, reckless driving and failing to render assistance after the accident.”
