The Ilembe Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism has secured Virgin Active and Lifestyle Centre Ballito as the platinum and title sponsors of their annual golf day.

The Virgin Active Lifestyle Golf Challenge 2014 will take place on June 3 at the Zimbali Country Club. The day’s golf and evening prize giving ceremony provide a great networking opportunity.

Virgin Active health clubs property director Herman De Beer said they are excited to be part of this significant fund raising event.

“This cements a valuable partnership with the Lifestyle Centre Ballito as the centre point of our new Virgin Active Ballito club to be opened later this year,” he said.

“ T h e synergies b e t w e e n the Lifestyle Centre and the V i r g i n A c t i v e brands are huge. It is great to participate i n t h e launch of V i r g i n Active Ballito and to be part of its introduction to the Ballito people. Virgin
Active is another great asset to Ballito,” said Lifestyle Centre owner Bruce Rencken.

As part of the platinum sponsorship, Virgin Active and Lifestyle Centre Ballito have nominated the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund as its selected charity partner for the Golf Challenge. The Orphan Fund will not
only be given the opportunity to man a hole on the day but will also benefit from the funds raised.

To add to the assembly of prominent brands, Liberty has thrown their support behind the golf challenge as the gold sponsors.

KZN regional manager Andre Viljoen said helping businesses and business owners structure their business assurance requirements is what Liberty does.

“Liberty looks forward to a long term partnership with the chamber through our product offerings and support of businesses around South Africa,” he said.

The funds raised from the golf day partly support the operational activities of the chamber, fulfilling its mission of being an advocate and resource for business in the Ilembe district, thereby enhancing the economy
of the district and making it a better place to live, work, invest and do business in. Businesses that want to enter a 4 ball in the competition or sponsor a hole on the day can contact event organiser Michelle Larkens on 082
775 3998 or email michlarkens@gmail.com.
