New wheels for Sinenhlanhla

Sinenhlenhla won awesome prizes for herself and the school.

Every little girl dreams of riding a bicycle with a basket and pom-poms on the handle bars.

Little Sinenhlanhla Mpunzana (7) of Maguyana Primary School might not have all the frilly extras yet but she has a bicycle and, she is overjoyed.

Sinenhlanhla won a bicycle in the BBS Mica’s schools competition and received her prize on Thursday.

She also won a flat screen television for her mother, a microwave for her teacher and a R2000 BBS Mica voucher for her school.

“I am so happy for my daughter. The bicycle might be a bit big for her but she will be big enough to ride it in a few months time,” said Mpunzana’s mother, Nomusa Ntuli.

Her teacher, Victoria Goba was rendered speechless by her new microwave.

“Words can not express enough how grateful we are for all these wonderful gifts. The R2000 voucher will go towards getting material to renovate sections of the school that need attention,” said Maguyana principal, Maureen Khumalo.
