Ballito blogger straight into the final

Corrinne Austin is one step away from taking home a Rest Assured Bed or a Russell Hobbs appliance after winning the first round of the Breakfast in Bed with Hirsch’s and the Courier Cook Off on Saturday.

This Ballito food blogger cooked a decadent dish using a variety of mushrooms, gently fried in olive oil, spiced, seasoned and served with juicy vine tomatoes.

“I really want that bed, so I pulled all the stops for the first round but the big guns will be out on May 10 for the finals,” said Corrinne.

She won herself the His and Hirsch’s recipe book and a Joseph Joseph chop to pot chopping board.

You could be up against Corrinne in the finals, all you have to do is to send your cold breakfast (smoothies etc) recipe to the Courier Facebook page and get as many of your friends to LIKE the recipe as you can.

The ‘blend off’ round of the competition takes place on Saturday, May 3 from 10 to 12 am.
