Boogie down to Salt Rock

Forget the hills, Salt Rock will be alive with the sound of music for the annual Mr Price Pro free concerts.

This year’s concerts are scheduled for July 3, 4 and 5 and feature some of South Africa’s biggest names.

Local boy Majozi will kick off Thursday night’s kwaito, afro pop, hip hop and house bash with his smooth vocals, at 4.30pm.

He will be followed by award-winning hip hop trio Teargas and later, afro pop duo Mafikizolo and DJ Set. The performance of Open Slot is still to be confirmed. The night will finish off with Mandeni’s DJ Cndo and kwaito megastar Professor.

Rock fans will enjoy Friday night’s line up, starting off at 4pm with indie songwriter Matthew Mole. Hot on his heels will be Gangs of Ballet, the beautiful ChianoSky, ISO, and GoodLuck.

Handsome twin brothers Locinville and SAMA winners Iscream and the Chocolate Stix will round everything off.

The fun will continue on Saturday night with a free dj dance party.

KwaDukuza municipality events co-ordinator Collette Bundy said the Pro is the place to be.
