Car carrying school pupils overturns

Oil on the road on the R102 outside Stanger

Six Stanger school pupils and their driver have been injured after the car they were traveling in overturned on the R102 outside Stanger this morning.

The children were apparently on route to a netball match at Umhlai Preparatory School.

According to IPSS Rescue medics the road where the accident occurred is covered in oil.

“It appears that the car tried to stop because another vehicle had stopped in the road. The car overturned and rolled off the road,” said IPSS Rescue’s Paul Herbst.
