Truck blocking N2 near Zinkwazi

A truck carrying timber is blocking the N2 southbound near Zinkwazi this morning.
According to IPSS paramedic Paul Herbst, a smaller car hit a burst tire on the highway and lost control at around 8am this morning.
The truck was driving behind the car and had to brake suddenly. The truck jack-knifed and hit the smaller car as it came to a stop.
The accident scene has blocked the N2 between Stanger and Zinkwazi and traffic is being diverted around the accident.
The driver of the car was taken to Alberlito hospital by IPSS medical services while the truck driver was taken to Stanger hospital.
