R86 000 for two deserving families

Ballito business comes together for for charity.

Two North Coast families were each given a much-needed gift on Monday.

KL Studios Lindy Elmes and Kate Peterson handed over two cheques for R43 000 each, to the Serfontein and Rampursad families at the SMD showroom.

The money was raised at a fundraiser in April, hosted by KL Studios in partnership with Mangwanani Spa and the SMD group.

It will go towards medical bills for three-year-old Ethan Serfontein, who was diagnosed with cancer last year and Rampursad twins Jaimee and Jaydon (5).

Jaimee was born with facial macrosia, is deaf in her left ear and does not have a right ear. Jaydon has leukaemia.

The Rampursad twins were overwhelmed at the gesture, while Ethan’s dad Louis accepted on his behalf as he was not well enough to attend.
