Taking homemaking to the next level

Hirsch Ballito recently held a free domestic workers workshop. This popular monthly course saw a record number of attendees.

Hirsch’s Glenda Thompson said the workshop assists domestics in the area by equipping them with important knowledge and training to help them in their day to day cleaning.

This also includes information on how to use appliances properly and how to maintain and clean them.

The workshop covered topics like the importance of cleaning, using the correct cleaning materials on different surfaces, explaining house hold cleaning equipment and the importance of regular cleaning of filters on washing machines, tumble driers and vacuum cleaners.

“Attendees proudly left the store with the knowledge that will better themselves not only in the workplace but also in their own homes.”
