Crawford Preparatory North Coast is abuzz with much excitement as their school grows and expands in new ways.
The school’s preparatory and pre-primary previously shared a campus, but as of the beginning of the second term, May 5, the pre-primary has moved into their very own facility.
The new pre-primary campus has 13 classrooms which include an art room, computer room, aftercare facilities, speech and language and occupational therapy rooms. There are two beautiful playgrounds with the grade 0’s interactive playground including a cycling track, vegetable garden and pet enclosure.
Preparatory principal Bjorn Teunissen, is not only super excited about the new buildings but even more excited by the growth of the preparatory school. The preparatory has added eight big classrooms and a well equipped “Academic support unit” which formed the old admin block. The unit will be home to a therapist, a specialist academic support teacher and an occupational therapist. The preparatory has progressed from having shared classrooms to having enough classrooms for each subject, such as music and art, to have its own space.
There are even extra classroom spaces which have been strategically left open for future growth. Teunissen also proudly spoke about the opening of a potential ‘Toddler unit’ which would be stationed in the two extra classrooms. Any interested parties can contact the school on 032-9433240 to find out more about this exciting project.
