Wilson to defend his title

The reigning Mr Price Pro surf champion Julian Wilson, 25, will be returning again this year to defend his title.

Last year Australian pro surfer Wilson snatched the title away from under the nose of local favourite Jordy Smith from Cape Town in the final.

Wilson will be attempting to grab his second consecutive win from the fierce competition.

Jordy Smith is the second highest ranked surfer entering the Mr Price Pro ranked at world no.12 and is the Mr Price Pro Champion of 2010 .

Miguel Pupo from Brasil is the highest ranking competitior sitting at the world no. nine spot.

Entries have now closed and the six wild card surfers will be chosen by Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) and Mr Price.

The 96 surfers will be competing for the grand prize of R2,7 million from June 30 to July 6.
