Local business with huge heart

A good scrub and a lick of paint for local school

RA Padayachee Primary School has received a big helping hand from ConinghamLee and Associates.

The local business, which helps out at various schools, hospitals and businesses in the community, has been continually assisting RA Padayachee.

“On the last Friday of every month, come rain or shine, you will find us somewhere in this wonderful, diverse community of ours doing our very best to make a difference,” said director Matt Coningham.

During a recent visit to the school, on May 9, 17 employees sanded down and applied a proper coat of fresh enamel paint and gave some TLC to a rusting, peeling kitchen container.

They also refurbished a staircase leading up to the library by sanding down and repainting the balustrade as well as painting the stairs to seal them and stop them from crumbling.

A leaking pipe was sealed and the surrounding muddy area was cleaned and a foot path created in its place.

The lawn was mowed, flower beds were cleaned and litter was cleared away.

“We want to be involved in the community and contribute in some way. We hope to inspire others to do the same. It is rewarding for us to take an interest in our community and give our time to doing something worthwhile,” said Coningham.

Principal Mrs P Reddy is very grateful for all the assistance.

“This company is ever willing to assist and they go the extra mile to make things happen. They have a very caring and compassionate attitude,” said Reddy.

Anyone wanting to get involved can phone the company on 032 946 0854 or email to natalie@coninghamlee.co.za.
