Stunning fashion for a good cause

Miss Ballito Shelley Buckle hosts her first event.

Miss Ballito Shelley Buckle put her best stiletto forward at her first official event at The Boathouse on Monday night.

Models, make-up and music came together in a stunning show in aid of Shelley’s chosen charity, DeafSA.

Being deaf herself, the beautiful Miss Ballito aims to highlight the challenges faced by deaf people in South Africa.

Aside from a display by the gorgeous girls of Simply You-Nique, a motivational talk by SA’s Got Talent 2009 winner Darren Rajbal was a highlight.

Darren, also deaf, won the hearts of South Africa with his breakdancing skills and impish smile.

Shelley thanked all those who helped make the event a success.
