This Saturday, June 21, The Coastal Living Bru Fine Young Cooks Awards and Ballito Cake Boss elimination rounds will be taking place at The Lifestyle Shopping Centre from 10am to 12pm.
Twenty-four contestants between the ages of 12 and 17 from around the KZN North Coast will be battling it out for the top 12 spots in the final round of the Fine Young Cooks Awards which is part of the Mr Price Pro Ballito, Coastal Living Bru Food, Wine and Lifestyle Festival.
In both elimination rounds and the main competition they will be teamed up with a student from the International Hotel School.
They will be given a “Mystery Box” of ingredients to create their winning dishes.
Contestants for the Ballito Cake Boss competition will be bringing completed cakes decorated with at least one of the five elements of the earth.
The top creative cakes will be chosen to compete in the main competition.
Judges for the elimination round will include, among others, Masterchef Two contestant, Joani Mitchell and Chef Marcelle Roach.
