Lino raises the dough at Mozam-bik, Ballito
Mixed Martial Arts fighter Amanda Lino is going to Vegas.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Amanda Lino, the first South African woman to qualify for the MMA World Champs, hosted her second fundraiser on June 18 at Mozam-bik restaurant.
Lino was raising funds to contribute towards her trip to Las Vegas where she will be competing in the World Champs in July.
Guests paid R150 per person to indulge in an ‘eat-as-much-as-you-want’ buffet with popular dishes from Mozam-bik restaurant on offer all night.
Owner of Mozam-bik restaurant Brett Michiellin and his team prepared scrumptious dishes of piles of tasty calamari, mountains of fresh juicy prawns, curry and much more.
The event was well supported with every table allocated to the fundraiser filled.
Guests thoroughly enjoyed the buffet piling their plates with food and coming up for seconds.
“Brett and Shaylnne from Juicy Promotions really went above and beyond,” said Amanda Lino.
There was musical entertainment provided creating a ‘vibey’ atmosphere throughout the evening.
The night ended off with an auction where people bid for a Kliftdrift suitcase filled with goodies, a chilli-for-life deal with Mozam-bik restaurant and lastly a chef special dinner for six at the restaurant.
Lino has managed to raise her target amount of R15 000 from both her fund raising events.
She leaves for the World Champs on June 23 until July 12.
