A mountain of generosity

Curro comes to the party

The response to the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund’s Soup, Socks and Snuggles winter collection campaign has been overwhelming.

Local schools have really come to the party and the Fund has been busy distributing food and warm clothing including a staggering 500 blankets (450 from the Warm our World organisation). The campaign will be wrapped up by mid-July, so keep the donations coming. Warm thanks to a very generous community for embracing this collection with such enthusiasm.

The collection box at Curro Mount Richmore School was way too small for the amount of generosity from this school.

When the Courier arrived to pick up the donations we were delighted to discover that it would take three trips to carry back the mountain of goodies they had collected.

The school had set up boxes in each phase of the school and pupils and their parents just kept piling up the donations.

Some parents even went out and bought brand new blankets and clothes to contribute.

In a single month the school impressively donated hundreds of soups, socks and snuggles.
