The Slimline ‘Win a swimming Pool’ competition has kicked off with a splash at the Junction shopping centre in Ballito.
The 15 excited contestants had their vitals checked, donned their wet suits, booties and beanies and climbed into the pool at 12pm.
The weather decided not to play nice and a wet and freezing cold front arrived just in time for the competition.
The pool’s temperature started at a cool 17 degrees this morning and rose to 24 degree just before the contestants climbed in.
None of the contestants were revealing their strategy for the competition and they all looked pretty confident.
The contestants are allowed to eat and drink as much as they want throughout the day with toilet breaks happening every four hours.
Mamma G’s and Piccadeli are sponsoring pizza’s for lunch and dinner for the contestants.
Three hours into the competition and all 15 contestants are still sitting tight.
